I have spent over a decade managing supplier quality and food safety in food manufacturing across the UK and Nordic markets — under BRCGS, FSSC 22000 and IFS. I know what it costs when a supplier programme is built on spreadsheets and email chains. I know what auditors look for, and I know what most sites get wrong.

Northern Food Safety Consulting exists because I wanted to make the kind of senior food safety expertise that typically costs £800 a day accessible to mid-size manufacturers who need it but cannot justify a full-time Technical Manager hire.

Everything I build — whether it is a consulting engagement, a compliance system, or a training course — starts with a question: will this actually work in a real food manufacturing environment? Will it stand up in a GFSI audit? If not, it goes back to the drawing board.
